I started this year with some goals in mind.
Lots of things have happened since then. Here are some of my learnings from January to May 2024 as a Solo Founder.
I hope some of it is relatable.
- Relying fully on a cofounder can be risky.
- Hiring and managing people is a real & difficult skill. Need to be honed properly.
- Need to have a proper delegation blueprint to get things done.
- Have clear communication & deadlines set up before hiring someone.
- Don’t hire hastily just because you want to ship and launch fast. Ask many questions, give them situations & get your answers & then judge.
- Accept the anxiousness and work on solving it.
- Remove distractions as much as possible. They are just killing your productivity.
- Learning at least 1-2 no-code tools & being an expert can be a real boon. Take matters into your own hands.
- Keep off from incessant scrolling.
- You can’t force someone to work with the same vigor and energy you have. The only thing you can do is set deadlines, timelines, and clear communication.
- You will not win every day. Sometimes you learn something out of it.
