I have a question for you.
Why do we start a business?
Is it because you want more freedom, feel more relaxed, and calm, or want some thrill?
Do you like the ups and downs of it? Have you felt what it feels like to be anxious and stuck?
Enter the “Calm Business Model” – CBM
First ideated by a guy named Akos.
When I saw this, it immediately triggered something inside me.
I thought well, I need this too.
Calm Business Model – A business model where you don’t have to constantly feel the pressure of getting more sales via social media.
A way where you make money despite minimal or no involvement.
And I thought, is that even possible?
I think it is. But how?
Well, I am articulating some strategies below. You be the judge.
- Paid advertising, where you are shelling out your money and you get constant sales, a revenue stream, profitably.
- A model where you don’t have to wait for customers to come. Probably more focused on referrals and affiliates
- Leveraging third-party networks like Appsumo or Marketplaces where you get the majority of passive traffic. It can be even the Mac Store or App Store, whatever you want to call it. Well you can even list your app on SetApp (if you have a Mac App)
- Starting a website relying on advertising. No customers, no churn and no constant thinking of getting more sales.
You get my point, right?
I am focusing on building a Calm Business Model, although ironically I am not working on it yet.
I have launched LTD Ideas, which I think I will rely on social media for a bit, but later switch to the CBM strategies I mentioned above like paid ads and leveraging marketplaces.
So, are you working on a Calm Business Model?
